Alpha Xi Delta teamed up with Autism Speaks in April of 2009. And at Rho Chapter, we've raised thousands of dollars and have helped with Autism Speaks events here in the Lincoln community.
Here are some statistics about autism according to the Alpha Xi Delta national website:
- 1 in 88 children is diagnosed with autism
-1 in 54 boys is diagnosed with autism
-A child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes
-This year, more children will be diagnosed with Autism than with AIDs, diabetes and pediatric cancer combined.
